Ethan Sawyer, AKA the College Essay is well-regarded in the college admissions field and is considered a go-to on college essays. His site contains many free personal statement writing resources. HIs essay writing workshops (typically held online in the summer) should definitely not be missed.
Figure out your Effective Family Contribution (EFC) when you start your college search. This free calculator from College Board estimates your EFC using both the Federal Methodology (FAFSA) and the Institutional Methodology (CSS Profile).
The Princeton Review
Although many colleges have either gone test-optional or test-blind over the past two years, having a strong SAT or ACT scores still has its advantages. I have worked with various test prep vendors and have found the Princeton Review's curriculum and training to be among the most rigorous around.
